Gearbox?? 60 Series/troopy interchange???

Post by brighty »

Just needing to know if a 5 speed gearbox from a HJ60 cruiser bolt up to a 92 model 4.2 diesel troopy???

I'm guessing that there will be a different bell housing, but is the rest the same???

Cheers.

Hi mate, the 60 gearbox has a course spline on the input shaft. I have done this swap before but you'll need the 60 clutch plate and your input shaft will only just sit in the spigot bearing(about 3mm). Then you've got a different drive flange on the front transfer output for your driveshaft. The 75 drive flange will fit straight on though. And you will need the 1HZ bellhousing.
