When I got defected I was told in no uncertain terms that flares had to be of a structural nature to deflect pedestrians etc from the moving wheels and thus my flares were illegal, as were garden edging, conveyor belt rubber and some of the rubber stuff aold as flares.
as has been said a couple of times above, Bunnings garden edging is not flexible. its way tougher than the standard flares!
So what, its still illegal. :finger:

If you have speedway cars up there get in contact with the speedway shop.
most of these speedway cars use plastic panels. They are baught in sheet form & cut to size, they come in many colours ie blue, red, black, white, ect. sheet widths are 800mm wide & 1.5 thick, you buy it by the meter, I use this stuff on my daihatsu's & have for years. if you hit a tree they fold up, then go back into place. if you roll on them & they are bent for a long time & dont go back to shape,I use a hot Iron (you know what mum uses) a towel & a bit of wood, I have gone as wide as 400mm on scats to give them that fj45 look, & 200mm wide on ferozas to cover GU running gear with 35" to 37" tyres..
OOHHH & this stuff is about $11 a meter. I dont know how to transfer pics but jump into the daihatsu section & look up PIGLETRACING go back through it & you will see the pics, If you cant get it up there IAN BOTCHER RACE at Bundamber (near Ipswich) could freight it.
I am in the process of modding a swb GQ, Im finaly over diahatsus',
my big dellemer is should I soft top it or leave it whole..
