Yes disconnected from steering arm already. That was a Pita to start with
so yeh after the easiest way to unscrew it.
Only tried quickly with locking pliers this morning and no joy. left it soaking with Inox and will give it a bash later.

Not sure what zooks use (assuming you're working on the one in your sig) but Toyotas use a retaining clamp to lock the tie rod onto the tie rod end. Disregard the tags in this pic as they are referring to a power steering swap but you can clearly see the clamp on the RH tie rod end.nicbeer wrote:clamp?RAY185 wrote:You've undone the retaining clamp havent you?

Before you start, measure the distance from end to end and when fitting the new end wind it in till it measures the same.
A... Tie rod end
B... Lock nut (left hand thread)
C... Adjuster
D... Lock nut (right hand thread)
E... Tie rod.
Hold the adjuster (C) with a spanner and loosen the lock nut (B) and then unscrew the tie rod end (A).. It's left hand thread, so it's backwards to normal.
