Holden V6 temp gauge ? where to fit

Post by mrRocky »

G'day guys i got a VN V6 commy motor in my 4by and am currently trying to figure out were to put a mechanical temp gauge. I have tried it in the heater hose outlet but they are blocked off and it cant get an accurate reading. I have fitted them to V8's before and they screw straight into the manifold, but the V6 is headache. If i run a bit of hose between the heater outlets and then bridge the sensor in with a t-peice will it work?
where have you guys fitted yours?

theres a thread in the manifold under the alternator which is for the factory dash temp guage. Me personally on my commy, i have it in the top radiator hose.
