-22 offset on a GU

Post by GU-ish »

iv brought domr 35x12.5x17 MTZ and now im looking for some rims. plan on getting alloys a bit down the track but for the mean time just getting some steel rims.
wondering if a -22 offset will keep them inside the gaurds? or how far will they stick out?

bloke at the 4x4 shop said to go with -13 but mate recons they will look shit with such a big rim.
any pics would help of either -13 or -22 offset on a GU... mine us a cab chassis but should make a diff

cheers

Interesting convo..
I just been thru this, and everywhere says -13 is apparently the std to go with on GU's.

PM'ed Ryano, and he said
Conventionally, when people are talking Cruiser offset, it's the old school leaf sprung cruiser/ hilux which is a N22 on an 8" rim. 80's are a P0, the same as Patrol standard. If you want more width/track the more negative you go, the further they will hang out.

Mines running -13 with no issues. thats with 285 MTR's.
