Whatever you want. They are just regular diffs.

There is no point to LSD oil. LSD oil has friction modifier to INCREASE the friction for LSD clutch plates to work better.

A high quality hypoid gear oil is the best choice.

Is probably the wrong oil, but I've used castrol EP 80/90 for the past ten years in front and rear maxi's and as well in the LT230. Havent had any drama's with it.

would there be a difference between what you run in a rover type(spiral bevel) to the sals(hypoid)?

The Salisbusry needs an oil with a better sheer strength. I run GL-5 hypoid in the rover diffs to better protect them.

Actually not - this is what ARB reccomends:
Normal Use: Shell Diff Oil (SAE 90) or Mobil Mobilube GX90.

Heavy Off Road Use: Shell Spirax HD 85W-140 or Mobil Mobilube GX140.

Hi Temp_Desert Use: Shell Spirax S 80W-140 or Mobil Mobilube SHC 80W-140.

Low Temp_Winter Use: Shell Spirax S 75W-90 or Mobil Mobilube SHC 75W-90.

Some shopps seem to (incorrectly) reccommend LSD oil for some strange reason.

Don't know if this has any bearing or not. But Mal Story the Owner operator of the now defunct Maxi Drive Engineering told me in person to use Castrol 90 weight suitable for LSD diffs.
