1UZ Cooling in a Hilux

Post by Grublux »

Now that there are a lot of 1UZ conversions out there what are the best radiator fan combinations people are running to keep the engine cool in all conditions.

I'm primarily interested in a front mount radiator (not on the tray) with the cooling fan/fans on the engine side pulling the air through.

It's for a 92 Hilux with a 1UZ fitted and about 130mm of clearance at the front.

Cheers for any info

Contact Venom Custom Fabrications in Qld for one of his Afco racing radiators, pretty good value for what it is too.

After 5 years of trialling, my eventual set up works. One of those radiators with falcon twin thermos on the back. Though I had to mod the radiator support panel to bring the radiator a long way forward to fit them. And I had to mount the fans vertically!
