custom made cab

Post by macktuff »

hey all

was wondering if anyone has ever made a custom made cab for a ute (any make)

like the change over cabs for the mq patrols (rhino buggies hummer1 replica bodies)

the structure would be an internal roll frame covered in sheet metal although sides would be 2mm thick mild steel for protection it would resemble a slight look of a hummer flat sides and flat roof

this is for a hilux 84 model extra cab it would look boxy kind of body style but would like everyones opiion on this as l'm an apprentice spray painter l see nothing but rusting cars come through my work and the occasional kenworth or freightliner trucks

cab made completely from scratch doors, bonnet maybe thinkin bout a land rover but wouldn't use their electrics unreliable

micntor interesting completly from scratch went to queensland transport said l would have to commit plans and schemaitics basic design concept is a box section frame with 2mm sheet metal sides welded to frame if l new how to use certain programs on computer

thinkin of simplicity might look boxy kind of cross between hummer and a land rover makes me think of gettin a landrover plus hilux parts together make something worth while

hmm landrovers are completely made of alloy?? or steel frame with ally panels??? is it thick does anyone no ??

micntor made a few during your trade. wat make were they used for ??
