Hilux turning circle

Post by tez »

Hi,

Is the Hilux turning circle on the older utes (early 90's) really really wide?
Is it worse on a IFS compared to solid axle one too?

Turning circle is ordinary yes.

It's a lot better on IFS, not worse. My IFS 4Runner on 33's has a better turning circle than the wifes 02 VRX Magna.

My lux turns like a truck..

Glad its nice and high as i just mount the nature strip haha..

But seriously, will take me 3 lanes to do a u-turn and even then i can be pusing wide.. Thats on full-lock the whole time!

When I sas'd my 1st runner, I noticed the initial turn in was quicker on the live axle (as in less wheel for more steer) but overall lock was shocking.

IFS is 100x better everywhere except rough bush heh...
