Converting cruiser from external to internally regulated alt
How do I convert a externally regulated cruisr to using a internally regulated alternator? The internally regulated units are much easier to come by at the wreckers and CHEAP!
seriously go grab your self a good nipondenso off any big fully imported toyota with internal reg the auzi ones have bosch as i said the 80 series is the pick of them 110 a but one of a celica is about 80A still not too shabbyhulsty wrote:nah a petrol, they take a bosch alternator, others i've spoken to say just bolt it in a bypass the regualtor wiring done!
only 3 wires to hook up and they have external sense wire this is much better because you can get full voltage to your battery or trick it to raise your voltage
so sense wire
ignition wire
dash light wire
thats all
they are heaps better than the bosch ones
much less likely to fail and easier to pull apart if they do
