hilux 2l head cracked!!

Post by Timmeh »

Hi just been trying to use the search function on this and won't play ball, so i will ask a question that has been asked a million times,

I have a 2l hilux with the ct20 strapped to it, have cracked the head..... what i was wondering is if the heads of 3l will fit, weather they would be any benifit, bigger valves etc etc or even the 5l head and wat gains are to be had??

Any info you guy's could throw back at me would be much appreciated

2l/3l is interchangable, but finding a cheap 3l head in good cond without the rest of the motor attached for a decent price is a big ask. 2l's are getting old now and are wearing out nor being the best designed motor of all time, a rebuilt one is still fetching a price i wouldnt be willing to pay :P

Would be an advantage, coming off a bigger displacement motor, it would flow better, but i think price and availability outweighs the benefits, find another 2l motor/head or put a 3l complete long block in and put the turbo on it. Toyota diesels = expensive.
