If 34's fit with the headlights, I reckon we should be expecting at least a 36 in there

I think that otis still had the guards as per normal, but then has the addition of the toob + rubber sheet flares on the outside of that...

The removal of the guards would probably not be required due to the spring over + body lift + not so big tyres... :?

edit - fixed boo boo

if my car with nearly flat springs and a 2" body lift will fit a 34" tyre, then a spring over car with 2" body lift should be able to fit something much bigger than a 37" claw*

i.e. it should have 5.5" of extra height between the guard and the axel compared to my car... therefore that would mean another 11" of tyre room. Therefore, in theory the car should be able to fit something more like a 44" tyre, or at least a very high 30's...**

* - i think the claws are a tyre that are also far shorter than their sidewall indicates..

** - this doesn't take into account the firewall to headlight distance restrictions..

So yes, a 37" claw is small on that car. :?

It was actually running on 35's when I last saw it not 37's ..
I run 35 claws (really 34 inches tall) and can clear and flex (up to the point the tyre touches the top of the inner guard, just back from the headlight) There is absloutely no need for a BL .. with the toob flare like milo or the guy in this thread is doing .. 37's should be pretty easy.

Whats wrong with it ?? The vehicle is no where near finished ?? has no front plate or headlights ... I would reserve judgement until he says . ."have a look at my completed rig" .. then if it still looks like a carrot grater with wheels .. get on the case ..

Guess I am one of the naughty people in mine then .. no "engineer approved" mods ...

I can tell that it is not finished yet,but my point is that he is driving it around on road like that, and the boys in blue and the rta will have a feild day with him and as i said it attracts unwanted attention to the guys that are doing the right thing...

Yes the right thing doe's include getting an engineers report on all your mods.
And no i have no idea how far he drove it,but by the comment i have to go before dark,And as i said(not to be nasty or anything)I would of at least had it fitted with a grille and lights and number plate, even if they where not hooked up,Just so it looked like they where there.

But as i said THATS JUST MY 2 CENTS WORTH...

got the front finished finally. mash the sills in 3 inches. moved the diff forward an inch (i dont know how people move the diff forward more than that cause the tracking rod rubs the pitman arm at an inch). used the gaurds to fill the sides. a little rubber and hey presto, an easy mod to fit 37" tires on no lift

Have you tried 37's on it yet

Whilst they will probably bolt on, I'd think that they would rub like a MF????
