WINCH CHALLENGE

Post by Lexlux »

That weekend I will still be at the Outback Challenge. Had it been on another weekend my daugther would have had a drive and the interesting part would have been me running the winch cable. I use the word running loosely. Come on guys support this event as Dave has put it on for the beginers and given you plenty of notice. Good luck to all competitors LAWRIE

Hi ladies & gentlemen,

I need to have some payed entrants by Friday 8th May.

Otherwise it will be postponed yet again.

I would have througth that after all the interest from the first post we would have easy had upto 15 starters at the first one & that does not include the ladies section.

At the moment I have 2 in Production & 1 in ladies, to make this event happen I need at least 10 Teams.

So the 8th May is cut off.

Cheers

Thats disapointing, I really thaught this event would take off.
looks like we have wasted a lot of time & $$$ preping a rig for nothing...
& this will let alot of sponsors down...
I really hope that more of the guys that put their hands up & said "ILL BE THERE" stick to their word,, because the 3 vechicles that have isnt enough to make it happen.

All will not be lost.

I do beleive that this is the way to go and it will happen.

Some might need a bit more time then others.

There is still a week to make or brake time, so get your entries in.

Next date will be mid August, if I postpone this one.

Cheers

Hi Matt, you are very correct in what you said, but it is still a goer.

I am not going to give up on this event. I see this as the future for all winch challenge style events.

There is a very big chance I have a naming sponsor for this event, so hang in there it is going to happen.

I for one, had pictured 10 plus entries without really trying.

As an answer to Gut 42, I did not see your hand go up to enter this event??????

Please correct me if I am wrong.

So that means we will see you in the open class at Rocky?????

Guys/Ladies this event is a goer, but it is up to you to make it possible. I am only trying to add an event where anyone can have a go (if you want to follow some simple rules)

Cheers

If you read back I was all set for the original dates of rnd 1 in march, :bad-words: couldnt do this rnd as Im doing SSS GPS a week later!!!
I can only afford to do 4 comps a year at this stage and had planed to do rnd 1 & 2 of SSS GPS and rnd 1 & 3 of production class. Which would make it about 2 - 3 months between each comp as I work most weekends
and have a young family time is also hard to come by!!!

You WONT see me at XWC in Rocky as I cannot afford the 6hr drive and the $380 entry aswell!!!

You will see me at LCMP for rnd 2 of SSS winch challenge as you know it is only $200 to enter. :D

Hope to see you there.

Cheers Geoff

why would you only do 2 rounds of 1 event & 2 rounds of another, instead of completing 1 full event... Just sounds like you really didnt want to do production class anyway..esp with a V8 sitting there as you stated

I want to do different events, instead of all winch challenge. If I didnt want to do the production class I would have put the V8 in last year. I also have other commitments that clash with the dates of the other rounds. I wanted to do production class this year then put the V8 in.
