stupid leaf springs :P

Post by 88pajero »

I have a hzj75 troopy and I run 33 inch tyres which gives me me enough clearance for what I want (makes things interesting) but whenever I venture towards rutts, even rutts that my old 4runner with 31s could handle I end up with my mounting point for the shocks under the leafs digging into the mound in the middle of the wheel rutts. This has left me hung up twice now so whenever I see rutts I try to straddle them although I would much rather ride through them rather than risking falling into them.

Is there a quick fix for this without the need to go bigger tyres or is that the easy way out?
Jabber gone. Now have 98 nissan terrano and a 94 4.2ldiesel rv troopy on 33s slowly getting the fancy bits. How the hell do I change my user name?

Got mine from superior I think a few years ago. Work as intended and easier to take on and off than flipping them. DOT prob don't like you flipping them either???
I'm not quitting drinking, I'm retiring at the top of my game - sporting comeback likely.
