The first round of mods on my old surf was a 2 inch suspension lift, bar work and a set of these puppys in 31" size. They were awesome, behaved very well onroad, they were reasonably loud but you gotta expect that. I haven't driven with bias swoooompers so can't compare them, but i was happy with these. I'd say they were markedly weaker than tsl's or sx's as i lent them to danstoyowagon for a club competition he was in, and one of them developed a massive egg on the sidewall, seemed they didn't like the weight of the 60 on them at low pressures. I think in the same situation a bias tyre would have been fine.
In closing your honour, i think they'd be fine on a lighter vehicle doing some road km's, but definatly wouldn't buy them again when for about the same you could have nice strong bias reliability.
