I have it good authority that Vic Roads are doing a blitz on 4wd's for the month of May & are intending on setting up on the road out the front of the Lightforce Challenge this weekend.
I strongly urge every competitor to trailer to the event & suggest the spectators not turn up on their big rubber (not needed to get in & out anyway).

Thanks heaps for the heads up Scott. Real shame we are targeted in such a way. We're going to a private property to do our stuff and they still get us on the way there. Very sad.

TXT and UHF all those you know involved is you see anything :?:

Maybe a specific UHF channel for those arriving and leaving to chat on that wont interfere with comp proceedings ;)

Oh an Marin and Toaster best of luck, This is Marin's first drive at comp and hes doing it hard in my 40  Just to make it harder his Navi is Big Red Tosser or is it Toaster I can't recall :D

Best of luck boys

Marin is driving the 40 home  never a trailer queen.

He did well on the 2 night stages on Friday. But snapped a rear axle and did not realize.

Saturday morning he struggled on the first hill but some how on the same stage managed to blitz the mud run in 3 wheel drive.
Clean and tidy on the next stage with a new rear axle in.
The gully runs hard pinch he drove easy then hmmm a little untidy and red mist snapping a Bobby Long 30 spline Chrome Molly front Axle shaft  but still managed to dive to the finish.
Sat arvo, new stock CV and axle in lasted 30 sec and DNF'd the stage and DNS the last stage of the day.

Sunday, another CV in and his first stage was all good the second stage he spat the rear pinion but they made the finish line. DNS's the last stage.

He's now adding up his damage bill :D

A big thanks to all the organisers of the event, Jason and i had a great time, stages were challenging but not over the top and we learnt heaps about the truck and setting it up for the different types of track conditions.

If anyone has any photos of us can you pm me, we were in the orange GQ tray, car 22.
Joe.

Ummm ooops, I think I broke it..... again and again and again LOL

Cmon, the calls of "HIT BOOST YOU F..K!" didn't go unanswered.

And yes, I'll make tracks along the creek anywhere I damned well want :P

Any pics or video of the 40 series shorty (car 27) would love to get a copy, pm me and I'll organise to get a copy and some money for your effort to get me a copy.

Thanks to all for a great event, and most especially to Matt for letting me borrow the truck for the weekend.

I do remember Big Red Tosser making the comment at the start of the weekend to somebody "What do you reckon happens when you let 2 nissan drivers loose in a 40 series?"
I guess the answer is break rear axles, break Longfields front axles, break standard CV's and break rear pinion shafts.

Rum injected

TD42T shorty... got some bolt on and some custom stuff.

Yes congratulations to the winning team Lynda and Jane. At least it was worth the effort coming all the way down from QLD.

Jane (Jayne??) I had a ball at the pub...you are a great chick :) Come back this way anytime!!

And thanks heaps to all the girl teams as we all worked so well together. There was no rivalry, we were all there to have a great time together. Love it. And go Pheobe you really kept me entertained. The incab footage is funny as :P

Thanks also to the Wayne, Mike, Mel, Paula etc etc who made this event happen. Thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Bring on next year....
