ANYONE KNOW TB42 HOSE SIZES

Post by ANDREWGQ 351 »

I am planning to replace all of the heater and water hoses on my patrol over the weekend and was hoping someone could help me with the sizes.
Its the two under the inlet manifold that i am not sure about.
One from the pump looks smaller THEN 5/8"/16MM and the one out of the manifold to the back looks bigger.
I know that i could remove and measure but need to buy them on the way home and dont have a second car to run down to the shops in.
help appriciated

hey andrew, theres 2 under the inlet manifold, one is 16mm the other is 19mm, also if your doing hoses, the '?' hose (cos its in the shape of a ?) above the alt belt is a common problem, but buy a few meters of each and you will be able to replace all hoses

Buy a couple of metres of 5/8" hose and a few unicoils for bends. As cookie_monsta said, there's a 19mm hose under inlet manifold (i hunted through asst. hoses at supacheap and found one with correct diametre and bends from a cortina i think. Just had to cut it down as i only req'd about 1/3rd of it. About $5) and ? hose is best bought from nissan for around $10-15 from memory. Get some good quality hose clamps too as the crimp-style OE ones are crap.
