well today finished front extended shackles then started rear and noticed that my rear spring bushes are different to front has anyone encounterd this as guy at spare parts place said was only big or small pin

Looks like you got caught with a frankencruiser. Don't panic, most old cruisers are like a grandfathers axe.
Short answer is yes because people will use what's available/cheap at the time.

It's up to you how you resolve it. You either chase the right bushes/pins for the rear springs or you upgrade the rear springs to match the front ones.
