Whos Lada is this?
Cut down Sierra cab on extended LWB chasie running, Hilux front and Bundy back, with a 4AGZE should be finished about umm soon. A 60 Series work truck and some go fast toys too.
That is a Lada Niva Marsh.
Built under contract for AvtoVaz (Lada) in Russia by Bronto Motors.
They are fitted with the standard 1.7l fuel injected Lada Niva motor, on a UAZ Chassis complete with portal axles. Some were also fitted with a wankel rotary motor.
Tyres are 'specially made also, weigh only 20 or 30 kgs (or something ridiculous like that) Pretty much an inner tube with tread moulded onto tit.
One of these was the first wheeled vehicle to reach the north pole, in January 2000, 8 years before the "Top Gear" gig.
Top speed is about 70kph.
