Hilux Help

Post by Leighroy1984 »

Hey all,
Just after some information, I have a 1984 Hilux Single Cab. When I pulled into the driveway today there was a knock from the front drivers side wheel. I grabed the tyre and there is slight movment in and out. What would be wrong and how do I fix it.

sounds like wheel bearings are loose.

jack it up so the wheel is free and see if it wobbles, try wobbling side to side and up and down.

if it doesnt wqobble up and down but does wobble side to side then chances are its a link in the steering. so drop it down on the ground and get a friend to wobble ths steering wheel back and forth a little and see if you can see a joint with 'play' in it.

could possible be kingpin bearings too???

also check your wheel nuts.
