bundy engine conversion
just wanted to know whos put what in a bundy and how much of an arse ache was it.. Also just wondering if anyone does conversions in brisbane.. Or would i be better off to rebuild the 22r thats in it.. Has anyone injected one and turboed it or anything like that...
thanks
thanks
Search for bundera in Memebers section and you will find heaps of build ups. There are a few guys here that have bundy's and have modified them.
Just a couple i found
Here's one thats getting a 7M-GTE

Evan's bundy with a 1uzfe
http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/ftopic103 ... ht=bundera
Look at http://www.marks4wd.com/ for info on the engine conversion kits they sell and have a read.
I wouldn't touch the 22r or bother trying to get more out of it. Mine is gutless and guzzles fuel, can't wait to get it out of there. Go for an injected motor with more options for later on.

the 7mgte bundy is mine, still in the middle of the conversion
7mgte is out of early supras and soarers, ma71 and mz21
g52 wont handle the power of the 7mgte, and the r series causes problems with the input shaft being too short, i had some machining done on my bellhousing to try and fix this, will see if it has worked tomorrow
have driven a 7mge bundy, was really nice, good power delivery, very smooth, this should also work with the g52 if ya go easy on it

bundy engine swap
Just wondering if anyone has dropped a 12ht in a bundy?
Re: bundy engine swap
I think you will find they are too long...Bundys are actually shorter then the usual 75s under the bonnetcruiser075 wrote:Just wondering if anyone has dropped a 12ht in a bundy?

found this on the youtube the other day, this is a 1ggte, the 2 liter, the 7mgte has 30-40kw more than this, and a truck load more torque

You could go even better and run a 2jz out of a late supra
the power delivery is awesome heaps of low down torque due to the sequential turbos
i am running 3 inch straight thru exhaust 2 air cleaners 2 snorkels and 529 diff gears
i have one in my hilux/80series i used a bundy r series box and transfer with a dellow bell housing so it would bolt in with custom front engine mounts to your car
i am using and 80 series chassis so sump to diff sett up is very similar to bundy you just have a bigger engine bay
sorry no recent pics of the engine but all drving for a while now

good thing is you already have the r series, not sure on what the mounts are like on the 2lt but my 22r ones fit, just been moved back about 100mm or so and the drivers spaced out 6mm, will put pics up in my build thread when i get them in properly
2jz would be sick, my next car will be 2j powered, but i don't know how all that power will go in such a short wheel base, any one say wheel stands?
don't forget the vid of that bundy is only the 1ggte=)

that would be funny as a bundy getting around with wheely bars on the back Would mess up your departure anglepozman wrote:
