I worked out the code on my vin, turns out surfs have 4.88 ratio (well mine does anyway..2LT-E)
So for easy 4.88 ratios in a lux housing, you could swap them.... yes or are they different.
i want a coil front and got a clean hilux front ready to be coiled, just wanna know if a surf LSD rear diff, would fit in the front of the lux housing. i know the normal lux centres are interchangeable between front and rear...

Surf centres in lux.. EASY 4.88 RATIOS!
Wanted.... 4.88 or 4.56 front GQ diff center. Also wanted... GQ rear diff complete.
yep sure will
Have a look at the LSD but, on my lux i had to shim the lsd 1.2mm either side of the lsd, to make it work as a lsd and not as a open centre....
i'd jack a wheel up and try spinning the wheel in the air and see how much friction the clutch washers have.... other wise id shim it up a little before you throw it in the front (just not too much other wise it will put pressure on the steering a little)
You prob know this but thought i'd mention it.
