Donaldson air cleaners??

Post by DanwinGQ »

Hey all,
I'm looking at replacing my K&N pod filter with a donaldson air cleaner. I dont know much about them.
I am currently running a 4" snorkle into my sealed air box. Into a 3" K&N pod filter then 3" into turbo. I want to keep the large intake sizes so not to restrict any air flow and am struggling to find a filter setup to fit under the bonnet.
I have found a fleet guard set up that I think will work,(AH19077). has 4" outlets and should fit. It only has a primary filter. secondary filter not available. However it is set up the same as the donaldson.
Does the donaldson set up filter so well because it has secondary filters?
Does any one have any photos or info that may help??

That looks awesome. To service the filter to you take the whole assembly out?

When I was running my series 3 landrover with a holden motor in it I put one on the top of the front passenger wing. With the precleaner for when I was running around up the cape. Went really well. If you can find the donaldson web site I think they have a guide for the recommended filter for the size of your motor.

nah , i havnt properly secured the housing in place ,so with a little effort i just pull the end up , take off the kid , and pull out the air filter , pretty easy really , and the rubber bends hold it in place very well plus allow enough movement to change the filter
