those photos do look awesome, i nuse to religiously use nulllon oil flush and the one day as i was poring it in i was thinking, why is it blue? then i found some kerosene. they both smelled the same had the same consistancy and both reluctantly burned after i dropped a match onto a puddle.

i am not saying nulon is kerosene, just that 90% is (or close to it)

anyway the point is i use 500mls for 5 mins before an oil change now and the one rocker arm that i can see through the oil cap hole is really clean.

if you get hold of this rx thingy can you post up colour and consitency of it?
(i know you can get clear kero too)

Google Seafoam or Subaru Upper Engine Cleaner for more info as well. Haven't used either but people report similar results.

Bit of chat around the CEM products in general tech at the moment too.

Auto-Rx® is a clean-as-you-drive product. Auto-Rx® is added to the host motor oil and slowly dissolves contaminants from ring packs, cam lobes, and other high-friction areas.
Quote from their website. Dissolving contaminants from ring packs is the last bloody thing you want from a petty isnt it? Would turn youre car into a bitumen based Flying Roulette.

Any boat dealer who does engine service should be able to sell you similar product, OMC is the one I use.

Valvoline XLD used to do that to engines. Cleaned the internals of old engines spotless.

I'd say so, skin eating degreaser and sandpaper struggle to get heavily stained cams back to that.

Surely there's an equivalent.

The guy in USA finally got back to me, and has a dealer in Australia, supposed to be contacting me soon.

Well thats the thing, all the others that I can find take it off quickly, so more likely to be in tiny chunks. THe thing that sets this stuff apart is the 'Disolving'
action rather than the 'Removing' action.

Anyway, hopefully will have some soon.

Yeah right, did you check this page http://www.costeffective.com.au/show_cat.php

If I had a stuffed motor it might be worth that much to extend its life, but that is way too much for just a clean-up.
