rejoing the 4wd ranks

Post by Wambat »

hey everybody.

i have just purchased a 1988 hj75, 330k on the clock, nice and clean, with a big tool box on the back, paid 4200, for it, is out of reg, but i would say very clean for the price, i dont think i got ripped off??

will require tyres for road worthy though, and as it is going to be a week end only truck, i will eventually run a set of 36 centipedes so i was thinking something like a set of 33 mtzs to begin with, just so i can take it out and have a bit of a go and remember how to wheel, and also to change my driving style to a more gentle one....

any suggestions, or hints, like how to clear 35/36s without body lift, where to cut and how to trim, and as it has no bull bar i will be creating one for it, so some ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

cheers

Al

If you want to go to 36's you'll need to think about diff and/or transfer gears.... unless you like changing clutches.
