weve got a 1995 4x4 ute with a blown up 4jb1 turbo deisel and also a 1992 4x2 with a petrol 2.6 4ze1 . can this be put into the 4x4 ? if yes what needs to be done ? or what other conversion are there that go in with out to much hassel ??

Yes it'll go in. They are good torquey little motors.
Check the vin plates of both for trans/axle codes to see if they run the same gearbox though. Then you can just bolt it straight up to the existing box. You'll need to swap most engine wiring etc as well
