Its now time to move on, ie Detriot Lockers for sale.

Its now time to move on, ie Detriot Lockers for sale.
After having owned my F75 for around 15 years or so, its almost time to retire her, and upgrade. I am now in the position to afford something more up to date, so I am looking at either a late model Cruiser or Patrol. I will be leasing this vehicle. Mind you, I still have an LJ80 Suzuki project underway.
As some would know, I have collected a few Rockys over the years, and dismantled them to keep mine going. Last year, I did have a big cleanout, and tossed a heap of parts that I was never going to use. But I kept a fair bit as well.
And as some would know, I have a few extras on mine that are desirable in the Rocky world. And, as aftermarket parts are rare for them, I have made quite a few accessories to suit mine.
What am I talking about- Factory turbo motor with intercooler, power steering, twin Detriot Lockers, Factory PTO winch- fitted with brand new, unused 50 metre 8mm winch cable, home built tube bar, rock sliders, 2 1/2 body lift, snorkle, on board air (Endless Air type) with tank, cargo barrier, full width rear channel bumper bar fitted with Hayman Reese type hitch with swing away spare wheel and hi-lift carrier, dual batteries, and more.
My major spares that will be also going are complete rolling SWB chassis (2.8 diesel/gearbox/transfer case/front and rear axles/tailshafts) as well as another 2.8 engine, and another F75 full of bits and pieces, (tailshafts, axles, diffs, canopy, interior bits and pieces, ect) The only bits I will be keeping are some spares that will suit my daughters F80. But she isnt into 4wding, so it wont be too much. Whoever takes my old girl will get the choice of any and all spares that I have. Virtually everything else will then go to scrap, unless other people want to grab them.
My Rocky will be sold unregistered, as to bring it up to RWC standard would take too much time and effort, things I dont have much of these days. However, it can be driven to a new location, prior to the plates being removed.
My plans are to look seriously for a lease vehicle after I return from holidays around mid April. Soon after this, it will all go up for sale.
She has been well loved, and has served myself and family well. Anyone who has been to a 4wdQld country meeting/Corroboree over the last 12-15 years would know my Rocky, and what it is capable of. But well loved doesnt mean its prim and proper. She carries all the battle scars that a true 4wd should carry. She has been to places like Cape York, travelled the Maytown/Laura Road, been to Bathurst Bay, Karumba to Musgrave via Dunbar Station, the Snowy Mountains, and extensively travelled throughout Queensland. She capably travels at better than the legal speed limit, will tow a camper trailer all day without any hassles, and performs very well offroad.
Look for pics on the site listed below in my sig line, under Davids Rocky. There are also pics in the members rides section of our club website- http://www.gladstone4wdclub.com/membersrides.htm None of these pics are faked. Everywhere you see the old girl are places and situations she has been driven into, and mostly driven out of again.
This is not a formal For Sale ad. Its not yet up for sale. But stay tuned.
Cheers

But this is the formal FOR SALE advice. My finance and lease advice came through today, so my Rocky has to go to make room.
You get everything mentioned in the post above, and in the pics, except for the spotlights, the airhorns, and maybe on or two other small things that I cant think of at the moment.
I can deliver this vehicle to virtually anywhere in Qld for the cost of the return fare to home. But once delivered, the plates will be removed, as I havent got the time to get it up to RWC standard.
Remember, for the money you get a pair of very desirable and rare Detriot Lockers, and a not quite so rare but still desirable factory PTO winch with brand new unused 50 metre winch cable. Of course, the rest of the vehicle comes with these parts.
The last Detriot Locker that sold on Ebay for a Rocky went for AU$1300, so lets talk around the $2800 for the complete vehicle. Included will be as many of my spares as you want, including a complete 2.8 DL engine that has sat under my house for a few years. Only things not going will be a few brake bits and a couple of panels that will change over to my daughters petrol Rocky.
If you want to turn your 2.8 F70 or 75 into an absolute off road sleeper and weapon, that will make the non believers who drive every other brand of 4wd sit up and take notice, then the Detriots are for you.
Also available is a complete rolling SWB chassis- 2.8 diesel, gearbox/transfer case/front and rear axles. This was going to become a tray back ute, but lack of time and inclination got in the way of this project. You will need a trailer for this one, and you can have the pick of any parts available, whether it sells before the green Rocky or not. I basically want to get rid of it, so lets say $300 for it.
You can PM me for further details.

Yes, the double diff locked Rocky is still registered, in fact my daughter is driving it daily till her car gets back on the road. I just did the rear brakes yesterday. New shoes. It can be delivered pretty much to anywhere within a day or so drive of CQ around the 20th of June. It will include the spare front inner axle to replace the one dead CV joint.
I am willing to deliver it for the cost of my return trip home.

The green beast is gone- sold today to someone off this forum. Really sad in a way to see her go, she has served our family faithfully over the last 15 years or so, but glad it has gone to someone who wants to do the work she needs to get her back to speed.
I did replace the dead (read sheared outer axle) CV a couple of days ago, so I could take the new owner for a test drive. That test drive ended up just about a full blown recovery, with us bogged in a creek bed, and needing the PTO to drag us out. Good demo of what she could do.
I wont reveal the new owners name- for his or her privacy, I will let them reveal it if they so desire.
So, I still have a rolling F70 chassis for sale- 2.8/gearbox/transfer case/front and rear axles. $300 or offer, you collect.
And of course, my daughter still has her F80, but the lastest from her is she is considering selling that as well.
