diff breathers

diff breathers
i was just wondering do any or most pajero's come with diff breathers, i have a 93 gls petrol paj, went through some water tonight should i check both diff's for oil contamination.
The rear axle breather runs to a chassis tube abpve the rear axle which is at about bumper height, but on the front diff there are twp different types that i know of the older type has a one way alve mounted on the top right (looking from the front to back) of the casing and the later type is located in the same place but is similar to the rear in that it piped, similar to the rear - i'm guessing maybe into the chassis somewhere, it's probbly a good idea to extend these, i did it with my pajero after filling the front and rear axles with water on more than one occasion, and to be honest it was an easy job
