Need some opinions on a surf

hey guys looking at buying a surf its a 1992 model 2.4 turbo with only 169,000km's genuine, any common problems or things i should be looking for? looking at it on sat so some quick info would be much appreciated. just looking to use it as a daily driver and a bit of off road here and there. cheers guys.

Depending on how much it is going for, I would personally stay clear of the 2.4l motor. They aren't the quickest things out there. Try looking for a 3.0l model.

Things to check...
Turbo (always had problems with mine boost lag & die early)
Cooling system (always ran hot, cracked head)
Clutch (original clutch is 2 stage hard to fix & $$$)

If you are going to do any work on them rip out motor, gearbox, transfer... chuck out and replace with 2.8L or 3L..
