BULLBAR
some had slightly different chassis bolt holes, easy to mod though. Easy to tell though. If the chassis cross member under the radiator looks the same as yours, will fit straight on. If it has a dropped cross member it will need 2 bolt holes re-positioned.
The dropped cross member may only be 2005 on, but if you can check will make life easy.

I recently bought a second hand one thinking they must all be the same. Of course not. The holes that I found different were on top of the chassis, right at the front. The bar iron had tabs going towards the back, but my holes (with nuts) were at the front. I just cut and welded them to the front. You'll see what I mean. There are three holes on the side and only one on top.
Another difference with the bars themselves is the curve below the grille. Later models are more curved to follow the grill. This bar on an earlier GU will leave a small gap between the grille and bar, when looking down.

I have been checking out the same thing recently, phoned nissan to find out what year bullbars fitted which year model ( i wanted to fit an 03 bar to my '99 GU)
GU 1 1998 - 2001 (sep)
GU 2 2001 (oct) - 2004 (sep)
GU 3 2004 (oct) - I think he said to present
This is for genuine nissan bars, ARB, TJM etc may differ to this
hope this helps you out.

I have put a series IV bar on my series I there are a few gaps but if you are not after a perfect fit (can put up with little gaps) it should fit see pics
Ther is a rubber strip for both sides I have not added you could also upgrade your grill to take up the gap in the middle
