225/75/16 on Vitara?

Post by ryangus »

Would 225/75/16 tyres fit OK on a 93 Vitara, or would they be too big (especially to remain legal in QLD)?

Also, are 16" rims easy to get?

I was hoping I wouldn't need a lift for them - anyone able to advise?

I'm 99.99999999% sure they will not be legal.
standard vit = 205/75R15 = 27.1"
225/75R16 = 29.3"

Thats 2.2"/55.8mm difference in diameter. Anything over 15mm bigger in diameter is disliked by the Department Of Turds.
Wheeling on completely wicked angles, without even looking stable.
