ABR sidewinder compressors

Post by MNBS 4x4 »

Has anyone got one of these or heard any good or bad reports about them, they had a good write up in overlander mag and are fairly priced, but would rather hear first hand experiences before buying one

I've got one.

The orange pipe is typical, pretty cheap. The gauge doesn't really work properly, but again, meh. The deflator fitting on mine isn't too crash hot but they've improved it.

Its pretty good overall for the price.

they are shit. don't buy one.

using it to air up I got 4 tyres out of the first one, and 3 out of the second.

then i bought an ARB.

for the extra 150 or 200 odd bucks, the ARB is a way better option.

Yeah all these designs of twin head compressors have trouble with performance, they are great on the first tyre and then die fast after that.....

Stick with an ARB, Bushranger or something similar (quality and warranty wise)

If you read its comparo stats at the bottom of the page it drops from 150 lpm to 64 in just 20psi

Whats the warranty?
