I am hoping it will be a good turnout, I already have one entry from England & four more signed up now. There is a $150 deposit (nonrefundable) to secure you a starting position. It will be limited to 30 local teams plus overseas entrants.
Vehicle specs can be obtained from my web site, look under Xtreme Winch & print out your own Rule Book. PLEASE NOTE there are a few changes to the Rollbar & Harness rules, namely how they are to be approved & stating CAMS plated cages allowed. All specs the same, updated changes will be there next week.
Any more detailed updates will be on the my web site from the start of Feburary.

Forgot to mention that there will be a supporters package for the XI. Cost will be $75 per head plus a special rate on park fees for the 8 days. This will allow you to use the same camp ground as the competitors, passes to the Friday night welcome & briefing, 2 sponsors nights (drinks & finger food) & a ticket to the final dinner plus entry to the last days 5 Special Stages & a discount on Xtreme Event gear. Numbers will be very limited. Keep an eye on my web site for more information.

The "XI" is shaping up as I had planned. Spectator & park costings will come out the first week in June, so be prepared for a few surprises.
Entries are looking good for the first one & it will give me a solid foundation for 2005. The "XI" will be a different event from any others that are running at the moment, the main one is the time (8days) & the number of SS that will have to be done (30 - 35 plus a GPS run thrown in). As all competitors have to do the same SS each day, the SS will be shorter then what you would expect at a round robin style event etc. Outback Challenge or NZ Winch Challenge these type of events only have to get 10 - 15 vehicles through a days SS. There will be 2 long night SS (half the field each night will do an SS & will swap over the next night) & the GPS SS, both the night & GPS SS will have multi winching in each, after all it is a winch event .
There will be no ISE or other special tests that are featured in some other events.
Every entrant will have the chance to get special prizes such as holidays, AIR-UP unit plus other sponsors prizes. Every "TEAM" will go away with a prize selected by a lucky draw at the Trophy night. Plus the top 15 teams will be in the lucky draw for a free entry to the RFC ( sponsored by Motorsports International Malaysia) as well as 2 air tickets (sponsored by Xtreme 4X4 Sport) to get you to Malaysia (This prize is not transferable, competitors will be paid there airfares when vehicle arrives to compete in Malaysia)
Thats all for now.
