body lift

Post by nick.gooding »

hey guys
my mate recently picked up paj

he went to get a price for a body lift and they said its expensive because you need to fiddle around with the gear stick

he said it will be hard to get into 2nd 3rd and reverse
just wondering if anyone has a body lift and if they had the same problems

not shore wat model but it would be in the 1990s
thanks guys

hey mate, will how much is he going up?? 2 inch 3 inch?? but i have done a 2 inch body lift to my 1992 LWB paj and everything is fine all, i had to do is cut a bit off the bottom of the fan because it was hitting that plastic plate which the fan is in. thats all.

i hope u trimmed the shroud not the fan, as for the gear lever, the metal surrounding the leavers may need a little bit of a trim or persuding with a hammer

The gearstick shouldn't be a problem, although the transfer lever could be. It can be cold-bent - it doesn't need to be cut & shut, or heated & bent. The easiest solution is to simply cut away at the hole in the floorpan / centre console.

On mine, the bottom of the fan shroud simply unclipped - no tools required.

mine no probs
got a 2" B/L
just unclipped the bottom fan shroud & rotated the radiator hose clockwise

I also had the F+R bumpers lifted to match
all that was needed to do this is cut & redo the mounts wherte they bolt to the chassis
