re holey 350
i had a holley 350 on mine and left it standard just changed the float so i can use the sc14 supercharger on it and it worked good
Yeah there's a guy selling reco 32/36 weber packs that bolt right on for $600 on ebay.. Reckons they're the ducks nuts.
Tempting but not sure about shelling 600 on a secondhand carb that i keep hearing iffy reports on, in a 4x4 context anyway.. (steep angle starving).
also hear they need regular tuning??
Any feedback from anyone running a weber much appreciated

Weber carbs are great. The 32/36 is a very good alternative. I cant say what they are like in a steep angle. But if they are set up properly in the first place you wont have to do any tuning in the future i.e Jet alterations. Providing the engine is in good condition with good manifold vacuum. They are standard on 2lt escost engines so finding one yourself shouldnt be too hard.
Any idea on fuel efficiency improvement?
The standard setup on the 3Y running 31" rubber only returns ~320km per ~55 litres of juice.. In my case anyway!
I'm also running a switched thermo so there's less parasitic loss on the motor to begin with!
