i've bin lookin at getting a 2 inch lift kit for my sierra and i was wondering if i'll need extended shackles.

No, it won't be a 2" lift if you add extended shackles, it will be 2" + 1/2 the extra length of the shackles.
There's no good reason to add longer shackles with an off the shelf 2" lift. Standard sierra shock mounts won't allow you to use the extra movement the longer shackles allow because the shocks are sized for the shackle length and the spring length (that's not related to spring height - only length from eye to eye.)
longer shackles also mess up the front caster angle so handling isn't as good once they are fitted.
