What are the pros and cons of disconnecting your sway bars?

Not sure as I dont have em.

But: More articulation with out them but more body roll when on the balck stuff cornering.

Im sure someone will expand.

These bars are actually an "anti-sway" bar, resisiting the twisting action caused as the body tries to roll away from the diff. As mentioned in the previous post, they slow body roll, but limit articulation. The compromise is to have a quick disconnect system for off road use.

Depends on how much road driving you do - my rig has no swaybars and on teh black stuff gets heaps of body roll if you go into corners too hot. In bush - articulation is allot better and the "get there" factor is greatly increased.
They do limit articulation on the front end allot more than the rear - so when you want all four wheels on the ground - you'd be lucky to have three. :o

Sorry but i push a button on my dash and the stabilister is released and when on the black top push the button and its ther again. I designed this system for me and only me, and it works a hoot.

nick,
definately disconect them in the bundy... its amazing the amount of extra flex... about 3.5 inches on my bundy at the front. not a huge problem around the city, just adjust your driving style to suit (its not a fully sick honda civic moit!)
