nisan d40 Navara low oil light

Post by src071 »

Hi,

I bought a second hand D40 turbo diesel about 1 month ago & have been happy so far but the other day my low oil light came on even though the dipstick reads full.

Any ideas ? Is it just an electrical glitch or something more sinister ?

Cheers Sean

low oil pressure or low oil level ?

apparntly they are somewhat touchy with the low oil level sensor. check a bit more oil in and see what happens.

happens after the oil gets changed... if you dont open the door before starting it i think... can happen off other things too.. leave the ignition On or on ACC cant recall what one for about 8 minutes with the door shut then turn it off and restart it , will be gone then
Beep. Beep. Beep.. Whats that sound? Oh Look Its Just Another ZD30 On A Tow Truck.. =)

What torque? Tighten it till it strips and then back it off half a turn.
