Post by cycomut »

Im lookin at droping in a Gu TD42-T into my patrol the only problem is my car is a 24v system the engine is a 12v system. Is this going to be a big problem if so i wont bother even thinkin of it, or is it as simple as finding some 12v parts (tacho ETC) an pluging them in.... i know its never that simple but hey one can dream... any advice would be helpfull.

Thx in advance

you dont have to change the a/c pump just the sealed magnet that pulls the clutch in very easy job

no he will have to change the whole pump,
GQ run a sandon 508
GU run a nippon.

so unless he is going to rehose it, just change the whole thing

thats just it. if you change vechile system over you will need to change every relay, bulb and any motors from fan to window washers.
also i'm not sure if the actual wiring in the vechiles is different ie they may have used thinner wiring for the 24v. if so you would have to rewire the entire vechile. odds are nissan are cheap and used the 12v cabling in everything.

if the motor is TD42Ti either convert to manual pump or run the ECU via a 24-12volt reducer.
