Moving very soon from the Daihatsu forum to here.
I am leasing an 05 3 litre Patrol in the next week or so. A couple of things have come up during the presale service and RWC.
The oil light apparently comes on randomly. Sometimes not for days, weeks, or months, then it will come on and stay on for some equally random time. The dealer doing the service says its not a faulty sendor. Any ideas or input anyone? Mind you, this is the same dealer who was tasked to do the presale service, then the RWC, and FAILED the RWC for an incorrectly adjusted handbrake??? They were told to go back and have another try.
Also, a couple of the dashboard lights dont work- I believe its the lights in the AC switches. The current owner has been quoted a couple of hundred bucks to supply replacements because the globes cant be replaced, and the whole switch must be replaced. Any ideas on this- I cant believe the switches cant have the bulbs replaced.
Once the vehicle becomes my property, first up is a trip to ARB to have some minor work done on it.
Cheers
Bundy

Mud makes excellent toothpaste.
there is also a resistor in the rhf kickpanel near the accelerator , its on a big steel plate held in by a philipshead/10mm headded screw , you replace the two as a pair , sender and reisistor , the sender is a bit of an ass to get to.
