Hi all
I need to replace the plug tubes oil seals that live under the tappet covers.
It looks straight forward but has anyone done this job and is there anything to watch out for, what type of gasket goo do I need (if any) for the manifold gasket(s).
Any tip or tricks appreciated.

Challenger plug tube seal replacement?

The plumeum chamber (although it was called something else in the gasket catalogue I searched through at my local parts supplier) gasket is probably the only one you will need. It is a steel gasket. I think fairly cheap. I would replace the rocker cover gaskets as well while you have them off.
I don't think there was anything special in regards to replacing the tube seals, but can't remember exactly how they fitted (replaced all of the above whilst replacing rattly lifters in my dad's '98 Triton a few months ago. I couldn't believe how cheap the lifters were - about $5 ea from memory).

If the plenum chamber gasket is still genuine then it will be a tin gasket and can be re-sealed with some gasket goo. Although for about $6.00 for a new one it's hardly worth it. I second the notion of replacing the rocker cover gaskets while in there. If the tube seals have gone hard and are leaking then the r/cover gaskets would be in similar condition. A little bit of goo in the corners of the r/cover gasket where they half moon over the camshaft wouldn't go astray either.
