i found a 96 disco in the paper rang the dude and he swears black and blue it has cedntre difflock and FACTORY front and rear lockers.. To my knowledge i was obviously aware of centre difflock but wasnt aware of the f + r option unless they were fitted at the dealer before delivery does anyone know anydifferent.. the car is a few hundred ks away so ive asked him if they were air or vacum operated and asked for some sort of pics of the switches as stupid as it sounds i dont wanna turn up to someone that knows nothing bout what hes talking about....

There wasn't a factory axle diff lock in the Series 1 or 2 Disco. Only the centre diff locks.

He more than likely is mistaking the CDL for F&R difflocks.

I had a mate who bought a 92ish Pajero with the Super Select transfer case.
He swore black and blue that locking the CDL was actually locking both F&R diffs

Disco3 has an optional factory rear locker, likewise the RRS I think.

I meant of the same era or ealier, some people have no idea but that sometimes comes down to the salesman (bs merchant) who sold the vehicle in the first place and then the myth rolls on.

the dealer may have fitted them? Just ask if it has an ARB or MD switch or button.

Didn't know that.
Still, his didn't have it. He just locked the transfer and though he was locked front and rear.

Yep, knew a guy with an 80 series who thought the same thing, I soon showed him the error of his ways. He won't go out with me anymore.
