booked my sierra in for rwc n rego next week and theres a bad shudder under heavy acceleration 1st is worst, 2nd still bad but as i pick up speed it tones down....its still there but just not as bad as take off...???
just vibrates crazy??? its got a brand new steering damper as the old one was rusted through and shit itself bad!!! had the vibrations/shudder before i changed the damper and still has it now with the new one in??
wheel alignment/balance?
wats your thoughts? did a search that came up with 10million different topics...
if the "shudder" is at the same speed as the wheels are going and you feel it through the steering, search for "Death wobble"
If it's fast and you don't feel it though the steering, you have a flogged out uni, probably on the jackshaft, because that's where nobody looks.

Engine\tcase\gearbox mount or uni joint between the gearbox to tacse intermediate shaft.
Would be checking the mounts first.
Possibly (but unlikey) bent tcase mounts putting rear driveshaft out of phase.
Also check for missing bolts holding the shafts in place .. amazing how big of a vibration that can cause.
had a quick look under the sierra and found a broken gearbox mount rubber...it's still holding but the rubber is torn and damaged - the mount straight under the gearbox.
other mounts are fine no noticable damage anyway..will have to order a new mount on monday so i will update as soon as possible if the wobbles go awya after replacing the mount
Check the jackshaft unis while you are under there. the shuddering you are feeling is actually the jackshaft unis coming out of phase because the gearbox is moving more than it should.
Jackshaft uni failure will ruin your day- they normally go at the gearbox end and they normally take out the yoke when they go.
Remember, they are going very quick - at least 1.4 times quicker than the rear driveshaft- and they are on a very short driveshaft. they need to be in top condition.
