40S CENTRES IN 60S DIFFS

at the moment ive got a lokka in the rear and a powertrax lock right in the front of my bj42. in two weeks we'll be doing a spring over on 60s diffs. can i just put the two 40s centres with lockers in the new 60s diffs?

yes.

the flanges might be different, you might need to mix and match driveshaft ends to get it to all work.

sweet as, thanx for the reply. yeah i got a round flange and square on the shaft. if thats my biggest hassle i'm laugh'n. i'm sure it wont be though....

youll be right. the worst part of using 60 diffs for a 40 is that you have to completely cut off the spring mounts because the 40 mounts are narrower than the 60.

the rest is gravy.

any advice on setting up the 60s power steer box? my 40 is already factory power steer. just need to see a few pics or something of how people have set theres up. prob guna get snake or superior eng x ova steer. any help now is greatly appreciated as we're rippn in to it in the next couple of weeks. i've been looking on ih8mud and a little bit on here, but the more info the beta.

What about the front diff? Looking into putting 60 diffs under a 70 series and the front centre is going to be tight with the spring perches

I don't remember off the top of my head but I think the 7x chassis is narrower than a 60, and the 60 front diff is going to make your life slightly DIFFicult (ha ha) so you might need to notch it a bit to get the perch where you want it. either that or just let it hang out one side more than the other :)
