Dual Battery Question

Post by swbpatrol »

Hi

I am just about to get Dual Batt set up in my GQ TD42. My plan is so far to have the main battery to be a overlander 700 and run my winch and start of it. My second battery to be a trojen Deep Cycle that i will hook lighting up to and fridge and CD player. I will use a basic solenoid isolater and also a switch so i can run the second after the car is off so my main does not go flat. Iv'e heard not to bother paying the $170 for the overlander and get a cheaper N70Z battery and i know i can get a generic brand N70Z for $70. Is there much difference in the the brands? Als o is a Trojon a good Deep cycle battery? Also would anyone have a diagram for wiring up a system like above?

try a "rocket" battery for the starting/winch battery they have good CCA and are cheaper and more reliable than overlander batteries.
