few questions

i got the 1996 disco 3.9 v8i

qustion1
i have found an oil leak up top of motor drivers side thinki8ng its the tappet cover? is it easy to pull off and replace oil seal?

rear windscreen wiper work when it wants to, i had it pull out and was working fine, put back in still worked fine closed back door still worked fine after 1-2hours of doing oil chang filters etc
its dosent want to work any ideas? on this one

or is it compolsry to have a working rear window wipper in victoria for a road worthy?

it has gas on but for some reason the disco dosent like to idle with gas it cut out, but when going down the freeway i can switch to gas and works no worries any ideas??

again sorry for all the questions iv never had a landrover so this is a big learning experance

Rocker cover gasket is a 5min job to replace, rear wiper sounds like bad earth/contact in the wiring. Pull the connector off and check for corrosion/dirt etc - not sure about being an RWC item.
Gas problem check for split hoses in the intake system also could be a diaphram in the converter or mixer or maybe the safety switch is playing up.

i see it leaking oil from the front corner/side of the rocket cover going down the head before the first spark plug,

anyways i too it apart and cleaned it out its now working, got to press the button like 3 times for slow fast and stop i thought it was stuck on lol

gas its booked in to see a mechanic
