New GU ute Question

Post by UNJUST »

Could be an obvious question but are the motors in the new utes (common rail 3 ltr td) the same motor that has been giving all the troubles in the GU wagons?

If so are they any better? or if they are different, are they any good? Any info would be great..

Been thinking about cashing in on the 50% bonus the government is offering at the moment, but not sure on the new little motors. Or am i betta off going second hand to get hold of a 4.2td

Cheers

To actually answer your question, No the utes have the Common Rail 3.0L which is not blowing up and giving the troubles of the old Direct Injection 3.0L.

Only thing really going wrong with it in the wagons is high fuel consumption ( a pretty standard CRD issue manufacturer wide at the moment ).

I also have heard of V8 cruisers lunching themselves.

I also spoke to someone who once claimed he saw a pink fox in the bush outside of Logan.

CRD has been out for 2 years now. No reports yet. Pretty safe to say they've resolved it.

Because the 4.2 would never meet emissions. They are a pretty basic motor.
