did 84 mod. scats have a reverse light if so is there a switch on the gear box cos i cant see it??????????

yer the switch is on the top to the rear/left of the shifter.

Pull the boot off and you should be able to get at it.

Should do. It would be located on the gear selector plate on the top of the gearbox. If undo the bolt on the gear stick boot, you see it on the passenger side front of where the gear stick goes into the gearbox.
