garret turbo for gq

Post by young pup »

just a few questions...

What engine is a garret m24 a/r .54 turbo for?

Will it fit on a 91 gq?

Will it be expensive to do even though i already have the turbo (i dont have any piping for it though, just the turbo)

would the turbo be suited for the gq if it was going to be unregistered n be built up to be a comp truck?

if not, i might try fit it to my hilux instead... i need all the power i can get out of the 2.8 diesel, thats why its retired from off road and is now a work car

wouldnt bother putting it on any patrol myself as its so small.. especailly a petrol comp truck..

it would probably run out of puff as 3000 rpm..

Honestly, it isnt going to be cheap to do winch comps.. some people are spending $10,000+ on a winch alone.
Maybe plan to do it in 4-5 yrs time when you have your trade.

then when you steak 2 tires at your first event, what do you do? As said, it isnt cheap, and probably not something you would wanna go into if you are short on cash flow.
