The LJ71G comes with a 2LT (2.4 L turbo diesel CT20 i think), R151f 5 speed, landcruiser transfercase and g series diffs front and rear, the front being a hi-pinion which is different from the hilux front low-pinion.
Having an R151f I knew that the box would be strong enough to cope with the motor and being nearly identical to R154 i could use a R154 bellhousing. Little to my knowledge the R150 and R151 boxes have an input shaft length of 160mm as opposed to the R154's 190mm, meaning an R154 bellhousing would not work. Luckily Dellow make a 30mm shorter R154 bellhousing for this specific reason.
The only other problem was the original soarer sump fouling the front diff pinion flange. This was fixed quite easily be just making a new lower section out of aluminium. I also had to run a thermofan due to space restrictions and the fact that the 1JZ fan being offset would hit the chassis rail.
Just waiting to get a final tune on the haltech now, cant wait till it's all done, will be a beast offroad and on road
